O'Reilly realized that by trying new things he could learn a lot, but I do not think that is going to have a long term effect on him. He was simply just stating what he had experienced and how surprised he was. I highly doubt it had any postive effects on him and his veiws. Bottom line people are opt to experiencing and learning new things about the world if they aren't close minded and challenge themselves to step out of their comfort zone. It is people like Bill O’Reilly that miss out on life because they are close minded and are not willing to step out of their comfort zone.
